Celebrating the Spirit of Giving Back: AISD & IHF Unite for Flood Relief

In times of crisis, it is our shared values that shine bright. Moved by the heart-wrenching images of devastation from eastern Bangladesh, the students of the American International School, Dhaka (AISD), did what true leaders do—they took action. United by compassion and a shared sense of responsibility, the students spearheaded a flood relief effort that has deeply inspired everyone at IHF.

On August 29, we collected the relief packages from the AISD campus, where students, faculty, and community members worked hand in hand. It wasn’t just about packing supplies; it was about packing hope, solidarity, and a belief that together we can overcome even the hardest of times. These boxes were carefully delivered to the headquarters of It’s Humanity Foundation, each one destined for a household affected by the relentless floods.

We are thrilled to announce that on September 8, our distribution was completed, reaching families in Cumilla, Feni, Noakhali, and Bandarban—areas hit hardest by the floods.

AISD’s flood relief efforts were nothing short of inspiring. The students of AISD donated essentials like rice, water, lentils, oil, dry foods, hygiene products, torch lights, and batteries. AISD students meticulously sorted and repacked these donations, item by item, before handed these packages over to IHF for distribution. Alongside relief packages, the students also collected cash donations. These efforts went far beyond just filling boxes; they embodied a collective spirit of generosity and compassion.

The students and staff at AISD exemplified what it means to stand in solidarity with those in distress, truly living up to our shared values of service and leadership.
